Job summary

PSC Construction is seeking a Skilled Laborer I to join our Omaha, NE team. The role involves safe use of hand and power tools, concrete forming, trench work, pipe installation, and material handling on site.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1 year in construction, and a strong work ethic with good communication. Travel may be required and valid ID/transportation are needed for site access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel if required.
• No criminal misdemeanors in the last 5 years or felonies in the last 7 years.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Safe operation of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill and compact trenches using some equipment
• Installation of water, sewer and storm drain piping
• Load and unload building materials

Responsibilities:

• Performing general labor duties as needed
• Performing a variety of tasks such as digging trenches, operating heavy machinery, and assisting with construction projects
• Following safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
• Maintaining tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
• Working closely with project managers and team members to complete projects on time and within budget
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, and job site personnel

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the construction industry preferred
• Ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
• Willingness to travel from time to time if the project requires
• No criminal misdemeanors in the last 5 years or criminal felonies in the last 7 years
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Working smart phone that can be used for work purposes

Weekly Pay | Full Time + OT | $28.00 per hour
