Memphis Shelby County Schools is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to operate street sweepers, bulldozers, loaders, paving machines and related equipment on a regular schedule. The role requires proficiency with a variety of heavy trucks and construction gear and a valid CDL.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least four years of related experience; ASE certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Level dirt in parking lots in preparation for asphalt crew.
• Distribute earth to desired levels.
• Cut, swell and ditch for drainage as needed.
• Dig and load dirt, sand, gravel onto trucks or equipment.
• Operate equipment to excavate and grade for site improvements.
• Use equipment to remove trees and rocks from land.
• Operate forklift to move materials, equipment and furniture.
• Service equipment with gas, oil and water as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Levels dirt in parking lots in preparation for asphalt crew.

• Utilize equipment to excavate and grade for site improvements.

• Services equipment with gas, oil and water as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED equivalency. Requires four (4) years related experience as well as a valid state Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). A full Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or National Institute for Automotive Service certification is preferred. Degree Equivalency Formula Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience. Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
