The City of McMinnville is seeking an energetic Heavy Equipment Operator for the Public Works Department to maintain streets and sidewalks, operate front-end loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, and related tools across the city. This is a versatile role with construction tasks and on-call duties.
The position is hourly, non-exempt, with starting pay of $20.91 without a CDL and $21.54 with CDL; hours are 6am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday, with on-call duty every 8–10 weeks and a comprehensive benefits package
The City of McMinnville is looking for an energetic and experience Heavy Equipment Operator for our Public Works Department. This position plays an important role in maintaining the streets and sidewalks throughout the City. Position will operate various heavy equipment as well as hand powered tools and manual tools. This a versatile position with responsibilities in heavy equipment operation, building and maintaining sidewalks, repairing road cuts and potholes, mowing right-of-ways, street sweeping, mosquito spraying and various construction projects. Examples of equipment operation include front-end loaders, bulldozers, and backhoes, etc. in a variety of maintenance and construction tasks as well as a brush truck, side loader, and sweeper.
This is a non-exempt hourly position with starting pay of $20.91 without a CDL and $21.54 with CDL. Pay is based on qualifications and experience.
Hours are 6am -2:30pm Monday though Friday. On-call requirements are 1 week every 8-10 weeks with additional pay.
