Job summary

Esposito Construction LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator with field experience to support diverse job sites across New Jersey. The role requires operating loaders, dozers, excavators and related machines, with knowledge of site work, earth moving and utilities installation.

A motivated, hands-on candidate with a proven track record is preferred. Responsibilities include excavating, trenching, loading materials, coordinating with crews, and maintaining safety standards on every project.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a team setting.
• Pipe experience preferred but not required.
• Physically capable to stand, walk, and lift/move material efficiently.
• Must have a good pair of work boots.
• OSHA 10 and/or 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery for excavation, trenching, and backfilling on underground utility and heavy civil projects.
• Dig and prepare trenches for water, sewer, storm, and other pipe installations around existing utilities.
• Load, move, and place dirt, gravel, and other materials to support pipe installation and site work.
• Assist in assembling, laying, and connecting pipe systems in trenches according to project specs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and crew to maintain workflow and timely completion.
• Stage and manage equipment and materials on-site to keep operations running efficiently.
• Provide input for daily and weekly reports, including progress and equipment usage.
• Follow strict safety protocols and maintain trench safety on every job.

Experience with pipe and/or utility work is a plus. We are seeking someone who is motivated, hands-on, self-starter with a proven track record.
