We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Valicor Environmental Services at the Fort Wayne facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy equipment, specifically excavators, and will be responsible for assisting in various tasks related to environmental facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Operator a forklift and skid loader safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
• Assist in the handling and processing of waste materials at the facility.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an excavator operator, preferably in an environmental or construction setting.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment in various weather conditions and environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.
• Capacity to provide and follow directions.

Qualifications:

• Certification in excavator operation or equivalent training.
• Experience operating other heavy equipment, such as loaders or excavators.
