Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records.
• Moves and positions raw materials and finished components using material moving equipment.
• Follows standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Each day you’ll work at one of our waste disposal facilities serving over 20 million customers across the USA. The Heavy Equipment Operator II role takes place on equipment that requires a high level of skill and determination, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our operations. Our sites enforce strict safety procedures to protect all employees.

Pay, hours, and location

• Starting salary of $27.39 per hour depending on experience.
• Monday – Friday, 4:00am to 12:30pm or 12:00pm to 8:30pm; no weekends.
• Normal work location: waste disposal site in Fairview, NJ.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Work environment and physical demands

• Must have finger dexterity for machine operation and similar tasks.
• Occasionally required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds.
• May be exposed to physical occupational risks (e.g., cuts, burns, exposure to chemicals) rarely.
• Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes in most of the workday; normal setting is a shop or field.
