JOB SUMMARY

Are you willing to operate machinery safely and see the success of an exciting industry? Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Eudora Quarry in Eudora, KS. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• 1+ years of related experience
• Valid US driver’s license
• Experience in a dozer and excavator

Physical Abilities
