Hagar Enterprises in Damariscotta, Maine is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to join a fast-paced site-work team. You will operate a variety of heavy machinery, perform routine maintenance, and assist with non-equipment tasks on job sites.

The role requires a Maine Class C or higher license, ability to pass a drug screen and physical, and the capability to lift over 50 pounds. Benefits for full-time employees include health/dental, PTO, holidays, Simple IRA, and more.

Qualifications

• One year of experience operating excavation heavy equipment.
• Valid Maine Class C or higher license.
• Ability to pass a drug screening and pre-employment physical.
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader, excavator, earth roller, dozer, and other equipment.
• Perform general equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Fuel equipment and keep it fueled.
• Assist with non-equipment duties such as installing pipe and compaction.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Hagar is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to join a well‑oiled operation and must be able to jump into our fast‑paced environment and handle a variety of challenges on any given job site. We are proud to use modern and well‑maintained equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a front-end loader, excavator, earth roller, dozeretc.
• Perform general equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Fuel Equipment.
• Assist with non-equipment operator duties such as installing pipe, compacting aggregate etc.
• Use of various power and hand tools; including cutting tools.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• One year of experience working with excavation heavy equipment
• A valid Maine Class C or Higher License
• Ability to pass a drug screening (not including Marijuana)and pre‑employment physical.
• Ability to lift excess of fifty pounds overhead.
