Job summary

Honor Services is seeking a Heavy-Duty Equipment Operator in Baton Rouge to perform precise grading using bulldozers, excavators, and related machinery. The role requires three or more years of field experience and proficiency with GPS machine control systems and laser guidance.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting grades, and coordinating with site teams on civil construction tasks such as trenching for water and sewer lines. Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience operating heavy equipment including bulldozers and excavators.
• Experience with underground trenching for water and sewer installations.
• Proficiency with GPS machine control systems and rotating lasers.

Responsibilities

• Operates excavators, dozers and other grading equipment to cut/fill grade as they spread and level dirt and gravel to specifications.
• Proficient in operating GPS/UTS machine control systems in dozers and excavators.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Shoot grade with rotating lasers and site levels.
• Experience working in Greenfield, Heavy Highway, and Industrial Civil Construction projects.
• Ability to manage multiple earthwork tasks and ensure safety on site.

• ExperienceworkingonandperformingdailyinspectionsandmaintenanceonavarietyofExcavators,Dozers,Front-EndLoaders,Packers,andtoolsnecessaryintheassistanceofthejob.
• Performspreandpostinspectionsandperformsminormaintenanceoftheequipment.
• Performsassignmentsasdirectedorasresponsibilitiesnecessitate.
• Beateamplayer,withawillingnesstoassistinavarietyofrolesonthesite.
• Performsgenerallabordutieswhennecessary,involvingstrenuousmanuallaborinheavyconstructionprojects.
• Maintainsacleanjobsite;picksupalltoolsandequipmentandsecuresjobsiteeachdaytoeliminatepotentialhazards.
• Ensuresthatpropersafetyandincidentreportingproceduresarefollowed.Bringsproblemstotheattentionoftheforeman,safetydirectororHRmanager.
