Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a Contract to Hire position based in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves assembling mechanical components and complete systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assemblies, in a production environment.

You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and contribute to building equipment used in construction and mining applications. Work is outdoors/indoors with a day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a production environment.
• Experience with mechanical assembly in manufacturing.
• Proficient with hand and power tools for assembly.
• Able to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Capable of standing, bending, and climbing as needed.
• Comfortable working outdoors and indoors.
• Strong teamwork to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems according to specifications and blueprints.
• Build mobile water tanks, trailers, dump bodies, and related equipment.
• Use hand and power tools safely to complete tasks.
• Follow blueprints and instructions to ensure quality.
• Perform repetitive production work with accuracy.
• Measure parts with tapes and tools to ensure proper fit.
• Follow safety rules and procedures at all times.
• Work outdoors and indoors in varying weather.
• Collaborate with team to meet deadlines.
