Job summary

Technica LLC seeks to recruit a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a government contract at White Sands Missile Range, NM. The role involves field and sustainment maintenance of NSE, heavy equipment, and material handling equipment to keep assets mission-ready.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs, and document work using GCSS-Army and Army maintenance forms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of military or commercial heavy equipment systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident for more than 3 years for CAC/NACI eligibility.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Subject to monthly random drug testing under the contract drug-free workplace program.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism across all tasks.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience.

• Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must always wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing duties.
• Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, or alternate shifts as mission requirements dictate.

Desired Qualifications:

• U.S. Army MOS 91B/91S (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic) or MOS 91A background; civilian equivalent experience on equivalent equipment accepted.
• Prior experience on a DoD contract servicing and repairing military equipment
• CDL preferred for operational flexibility in moving fleet equipment.
• Prior experience working in a DoD contract maintenance environment on a military installation.
