Insight Global is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Savannah, GA team. The role performs service and repair on truck-mounted vacuum equipment both in the shop and in the field under the direction of the Service Manager.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, conducting PM inspections, and ensuring equipment meets Ready to Rent standards. Valid CDL is a plus and own tools are preferred.

Competenze

• Minimum four (4) years of verifiable experience as a full cycle mechanic.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Solid hands-on understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to administer DOT inspections.

Job Description

Seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join an expanding team in Savannah, GA. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be under the direction of the Service Manager. This role performs service and repair procedures on truck-mounted vacuum equipment both in the shop and in the field. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, conducting PM inspections, and ensuring equipment meets “Ready to Rent” standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Perform scheduled PM inspections on chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air, and water systems
• Conduct repairs within DOT or OEM standards to return rental equipment to “Ready to Rent” status

Skills and Requirements

• Minimum four (4) years of verifiable experience as a full cycle mechanic
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Solid hands-on understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to administer DOT inspections
• Must own and supply a basic set of hand tools and storage box (company provides large and specialized tools)
• Valid driver’s license (Having a CDL would be a major plus!)
• Experience with truck-mounted vacuum equipment
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data, drawings, and schematics
• Familiarity with DOT or OEM standards for repairs
• Prior experience maintaining and organizing shop/storage areas
