O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Southbury. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.

Union membership is required at the time of hire or within the applicable application window.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair hydraulics components, electrical issues, and heavy equipment components

Capable of removing and replacing heavy equipment components

Perform preventative maintenance

Use power, machine, and hand tools safely

Follow all repair shop regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic

Proficient in equipment software diagnosis, and repair, based on manufacturing specifications

Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, hydraulic and electrical systems

Strong attention to detail

Basic math skills
