Logistic Service in Columbus, Mississippi is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair heavy machinery and production equipment. The role requires performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring operational reliability in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting engines and conveyors, maintaining maintenance logs, managing parts inventory, and coordinating with managers to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and machinery.
• Must possess a Class B license, Medical Examiner’s Certification, and a clean DVR.
• Experience with power and hand tools.
• Knowledge of safety and accident prevention codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of parts and supply inventory management.

Responsabilités

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on engines, motors, conveyors, and production equipment.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices and using measuring/testing equipment.
• Control downtime by scheduling routine maintenance and improving techniques.
• Maintain logs detailing repairs and maintenance and adhere to the maintenance schedule.
• Maintain inventory levels and pre-order parts to support operations.
• Report problems and issues to the appropriate Manager.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and comply with regulations.
