Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a maintenance technician to service and troubleshoot plant rolling stock and heavy equipment at our Elgin, IL facility. You will maintain the preventive maintenance program with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while adhering to all PPE and safety policies.

The role requires knowledge of hydraulic pumps, transmissions, electrical systems, welding, and experience using work order systems, Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years forklift and heavy equipment repair experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic pumps and components, automatic transmissions, electrical and electronic systems, brake, exhaust, fuel, cooling systems, welding.
• Experience troubleshooting in an industrial environment and using maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Service and troubleshoot plant rolling stock and heavy equipment.
• Maintain and improve preventive maintenance with focus on safety and quality.
• Follow safety policies and use PPE.
• Lead project steps: justification, risk management, progress evaluation, completion and follow-up.
• Order parts and manage inventory.
• Communicate with plant and supervisory staff; read service manuals.
• Maintain documentation and use work order system to schedule maintenance.
