Job summary

BROTHERS Pro-Pave LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain service trucks, pavers, rollers, skid steers, milling machines, and related construction equipment.

The role requires experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems, plus the ability to work from the shop or on road calls. You’ll join a team that values safety, precision and reliability in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
• Formal technical training industry certifications highly preferred.
• Skilled with transmissions, exhaust systems, fuel systems, drivelines, differentials, hubs and other mechanical components.
• Experienced working on skid steer equipment.
• Advanced skills with hydraulic systems and hydraulic schematics.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and diagnoses diesel engines and other machinery.
• Performs basic and routine repairs on heavy machinery (pavers, rollers, skid steers) and assists with major repairs.
• Responds to road calls and performs roadside and emergency repairs.
• Maintains safety procedures and protocols.
• Reports work readiness and availability for scheduled shifts.
• May open/close and secure shop and equipment as needed.
• Enters work performed in Work Order Tracking Software.
• Participates in on-call rotation for weekend jobs as needed.
• Hours vary including days, nights, and weekends.
• Maintains shop cleanliness and organization.
