Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate a variety of construction gear and perform pre-shift maintenance. The role requires adherence to safety standards and effective communication within the crew.

You will read plans, execute assignments efficiently and contribute to a collaborative work environment on site. Compensation includes competitive pay and benefits as outlined by Sundt.

Qualifications

• Minimum three to six years of relevant construction equipment experience.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and safety standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
• Produce high quality work safely and productively at all times.
• Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment and information are available.
• Seek improvements in tasks and methods; learn from others.
• Share knowledge and teach others where possible.
• Demonstrate high proficiency in equipment preventative maintenance.
• Inspect subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance with plans.
• Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transport and unnecessary storage.
