Job summary

Pennsy Supply is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to lubricate and service our mobile equipment, including haul trucks and paving/construction gear. You will follow safety rules, perform scheduled maintenance, and coordinate with foreman for repairs and parts sourcing.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, 2–5 years of experience, and familiarity with hydraulic/electrical systems. Shifts vary to meet customer demand, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-5 Years of previous experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is helpful.
• Basic computer skills are needed.
• Experience with diagnostic tools.
• Able to work various shifts to meet customer demand.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate lube points on equipment.
• Communicate with shop foreman or site foreman for scheduling and status of repairs.
• Replace parts such as lights, brakes, bearings, springs, etc.
• Service items such as gearboxes, hydraulic systems, engine oils.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow safety policies.
• Assist with shop duties as assigned.
• Display professional and courteous attitude toward coworkers and customers.
