Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a heavy equipment or heavy-duty truck mechanic.
• Able to perform heavy line mechanical work and major parts replacement.
• Follow direction from senior mechanics or supervisors and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
• Takes ownership of assigned work and sees it through to completion.
• Enjoys hands-on mechanical work rather than managing others.
• Works safely and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Replace major components including powertrain, brake, steering, suspension, and drivetrain systems.
• Perform heavy mechanical repairs on backhoes, loaders, excavators, lifts, trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment.
• Repair and replace starters, alternators, batteries, and other electrical components.
• Assist with hydraulic system repairs and component replacement.
• Assist with engine and transmission repairs and overhauls.
• Test equipment after repairs to verify proper operation.
• Complete equipment inspection reports and repair documentation.
• Order replacement parts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
