Job Opportunity: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Our client is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsible for maintaining gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and welding. The equipment includes excavators, loaders, backhoes, blades, cranes, semis, off-road haul trucks, pickups, pumps, and generators. Most repairs are performed in the field. The position includes operating and maintaining a company-provided medium-duty mechanic truck and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of related equipment repair, servicing, and maintenance experience
  • Own tools, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record
  • Formal diesel mechanic training, including maintenance and repair of hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Class A driver’s license and certified welding experience
  • Experience with excavators, loaders, backhoes, blades, scrapers, dump trucks, cranes, semis, off-road trucks, pickups, pumps, and generators
  • Maintenance experience on a mixed fleet of heavy construction equipment
  • Monitoring and performing routine scheduled maintenance
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders, and lift over 40 lbs
  • Time management skills are highly desired
