Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company in Seminole, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Foreman with 6+ years of field experience to lead diagnostic and repair work on hydraulic, electric, and power-train systems across our construction fleet.

You will set up and trouble shoot production machinery, supervise technicians, and coordinate PM practices to minimize downtime. The role requires overtime, weekends, and nights as project needs dictate, plus passing a drug/alcohol and non-DOT medical test.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years as Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment.
  • Experience with CAT ET, Cummins INSITE and Diesel Laptop.
  • Experience with Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme and Takeuchi equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and nights.
  • Must pass Drug and Alcohol and non-DOT medical tests.

TIC is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Foreman for their project located in Seminole, TX.

Experience Level
  • 6+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Must be able to maintain, diagnose, and repair all types of heavy construction equipment including hydraulic, electric, and power train systems.
  • Experience working with the following equipment: Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, Takeuchi.
  • Experience working with the following diagnostic systems: CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, Diesel Laptop.
  • Up to $42.00 per hour.
  • Must be willing to work additional overtime, weekends and nights when required.
  • All offers are contingent on your ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and non DOT physical test
Primary Responsibilites
  • Work independently or with industry specialists to trouble shoot/diagnose problems with production machinery.
  • Set-up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down production machinery.
  • Keep designated machinery in running condition.
  • Minimize down time through effective PM procedures and management.
  • Troubleshoot machinery errors during production times.
  • Communicate issues with machines to production management when necessary.
  • Work with Machine Operators to ensure machines are running safely and properly.
  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
Work Enviornment
  • The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
  • Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions
  • Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required
  • May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs,ladders and scaffolds
  • Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment
  • May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial site
  • Must have required tools
  • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required
  • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit for duty medical and non DOT physical test
