Job summary

RYCOE Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our heavy and medium-duty fleet. This role offers real responsibility and the chance to impact fleet reliability and company performance.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair components like brakes, engines, and transmissions, while documenting work and complying with safety standards in a proactive maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostic methods.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to report on vehicle conditions and maintenance needs.
• Valid NYS Driver's License.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspection and maintenance on company vehicles and follow PM schedules to avoid preventable downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Perform repairs and replacements on various vehicle components, including brakes, engines and transmissions.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on vehicles and provide updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in maintenance procedures while maintaining a clean, well-organized shop.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and new technologies to enhance repair services.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the company and ensure efficient operations.
