Job summary

Muller Inc in Manassas, VA is hiring a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on trucks and yard equipment. You will oversee service calls and support field technicians.

The role requires hands-on experience with heavy equipment, trucks, and CAT equipment, plus wiring knowledge on trailers and Ford trucks. A valid toolkit and willingness to travel in the DMV area are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of heavy equipment mechanical work experience.
• Must have own tools-basic hand tools (wrenches).
• Must have wiring knowledge on trailers and Ford trucks (lighting/electrical).
• Experience on trucks and CAT equipment or similar (smaller equipment).
• Preventative Maintenance experience on truck and smaller equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative services on trucks and equipment at the shop.
• Perform small and quick diagnostics or report back faulty items in the field.
• Diagnostics on trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and small equipment at the shop.
• Perform small repairs in the field such as hydraulic line repairs, alternator replacements, battery replacements, etc.
• Quality control checks of the crew's daily maintenance and training for team members.
