Woods Machinery is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Bear, Delaware. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems across tracked and wheel equipment, while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with diesel, hydraulic/hydrostatic, fuel and electrical repair skills.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with computers and interpreting schematics and technical manuals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Certificates from prior technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in all equipment supported by Woods Machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
• Conduct thorough equipment inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Document maintenance and repair activities accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
• Work overtime as business needs arise.
