Job summary

KIELY is seeking a Mechanic to diagnose, repair, maintain, and inspect our fleet of vehicles and heavy construction equipment. This role requires experience with diesel and gas engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and the ability to read manuals and blueprints.

You will perform preventive maintenance, brake jobs, tune-ups, and oil changes, troubleshoot electrical issues, and order parts as needed. Strong safety practices and the use of PPE are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years' mechanical experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience as heavy construction mechanic.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret technical details from manuals and blueprints.
• Experience with diagnostic data-based maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild off-road heavy equipment and on-road vehicles for diesel and gas engines.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform brake jobs, tune ups, and oil changes for all equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Work on engines, transmissions, and torque converters.
• Remove and replace hydraulic components and lines.
• Replace starters, alternators, and batteries.
• Read and interpret manuals and blueprints for repairs.
• Operate equipment to verify repairs and adjustments.
• Order parts as needed and maintain tools/work area.
• Record all repairs or maintenance daily.
• Perform other duties as required.
