Job summary

Fremont is seeking an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to maintain heavy lift equipment, terminal trucks, containers and chassis. Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical motors and trailer repair is essential.

You will follow work instructions, document progress, and dispatch critical repairs to quickly restore safe operation in a yard environment, with supervision from leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years in heavy equipment repairs, diesel engines, and trailer repair.
• Experience with parts inventory and work orders preferred.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on heavy lift equipment, terminal trucks, containers and chassis.
• Readily dispatch damaged equipment to restore safe operation.
• Communicate progress via radio or tablet as work proceeds.
• Perform duties assigned by leadership.
