Job summary

Team Fishel in San Diego, CA is hiring a Mechanic to join our field operations team. The starting wage range is $25.00 to $35.00 an hour, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Qualified applicants should have experience with DOT and PM inspections, maintenance of trucks and construction equipment, electrical diagnostics, and brake systems. Travel may be required, and a valid driver's license with own tools is required. We offer health insurance, a 401k and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial truck and trailer DOT and PM inspection and repair.
• Experience in Preventative Maintenance and repair of construction equipment including trucks, Backhoe, Trencher and Vermeer and/ or Ditch Witch directional boring equipment is a definite plus.
• Experience with basic truck and trailer electrical diagnostics and repair is required.
• Experience with chassis and air brake knowledge and repair experience is required.
• Experience with repair and overhaul brakes, ignition systems, electrical systems, transmission, differentials, and hydraulic systems; inspect, repair, overhaul, and assemble automotive electrical equipment such as generators, distributors, magnetos, and starters.
• Welding and fabrication experience are also a plus.
• Ability to travel as required when needed.
• Valid drivers license with a clean record required and having one's own work tools are required for this position.
