Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Army tactical and combat vehicles and heavy equipment at Fort Sill. You will work with MHE, cranes, forklifts, engines, gears, and electrical/hydraulic systems per DA PAM 750-8 and AR 750-1.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3–5 years of military/heavy equipment experience, and the ability to read Army manuals.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience on military or heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read Army TMs, schematics, and drawings.
• Must possess REAL ID driver’s license and pass drug/background checks.
• Ability to obtain CAC and Tier-1 investigation.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain heavy equipment and Army vehicles.
• Perform preventive/corrective maintenance per Army manuals and safety rules.
• Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Repair engines, transmissions, brakes and hydraulic components.
• Operate and service MHE; complete work orders accurately.
