Rocky Mountain Steel Mill is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, overhaul and maintain a wide range of mobile equipment across the facility. You will work closely with skilled maintenance professionals to keep critical machinery operating safely and efficiently.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on diagnostics, and hands-on training opportunities for apprentices and future trades professionals within a world-class manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Mechanic Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Valid Colorado Driver's License.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience with engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and mobile equipment systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform engine, transmission, and differential overhauls.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
• Perform cutting, welding, service, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Support equipment reliability and operational uptime across the steel mill.
