Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the Phoenix Region. You will assess, adjust, and repair heavy equipment used in construction across our Water division, with opportunities to work across the U.S. and participate in industry-leading training.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance, and routine servicing. Safety compliance and a strong work ethic are essential; CDL may be required and pre-employment drug screening

Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather.
• Must comply with safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Replaces and repairs parts from damaged equipment.
• Completes inspections to diagnose issues.
• Performs preventive maintenance per manufacturer recommendations.
• Cleans, lubricates, and performs routine maintenance.
• Performs minor welding assembly and installation as needed.
• Performs and documents DOT inspections on company vehicles and trailers.

Overview

Archer Western is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the Phoenix Region. The Mechanic will assess, adjust, and repair mobile or other equipment such as heavy-duty operating equipment used in construction. Employees are built to succeed. Responsibilities

• Replaces and repairs part from equipment that are damaged or misplaced
• Completes inspections on heavy duty equipment to diagnose potential issues
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per manufacture’s recommendations considering cost, timeliness and efficiency
• Cleans, lubricates, and completes other routine maintenance tasks on equipment and mobile vehicles
• Performs minor welding assembly and installation for equipment as needed
• Perform and document DOT inspections on company vehicles and trailers to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred
• commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
