Job summary

GK Unlimited is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain excavators, cranes, and tractors. The role requires reading schematics, diagnosing electrical/hydraulic issues, and performing transmissions, brakes, suspension, and HVAC work.

You will also use hand and power tools, weld as needed, and maintain detailed service records. Strong customer communication and teamwork are essential for safe, efficient project completion.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment, dealership experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engine repair, automotive diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with OEM parts and specifications for various machinery brands including Caterpillar.
• Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, forklift operations, and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and performing assembly tasks.
• Understanding of hydraulics, air brake systems, alignment procedures and tire service.
