Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of heavy equipment, diesel, or mechanical repair experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, service manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Must own or obtain required technician tools.
• Clean driving record required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must successfully complete required technical assessments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy equipment and engine issues.
• Remove and install machine components and assemblies.
• Perform repairs and adjustments with minimal supervision.
• Verify correct operation after repairs are completed.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT handling procedures.
• Complete work orders, parts documentation, and service records accurately.
• Provide repair recommendations to support quoting needs.
• Apply failure analysis procedures to determine root causes.
• Support and mentor team members as needed.

Position Overview

The Heavy Equipment Field Technician performs diagnostics, component removal and installation, and repair verification while supporting field service operations. This role includes working with engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components across a variety of heavy equipment platforms.
