Our dealership is a leading provider of Combilift and Noblelift trucks. We provide support services for Combilift trucks as well as all other makes of lift trucks. Our team has a deep understanding of material handling equipment which allows us to customize our service support to meet our customers needs.

Employee Title: Field Service Technician

Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Combilift and all other makes of lift trucks. (diesel, electric, and LPG)
  • Ability to disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test various types of electrical
  • Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
  • Maintain service van and its inventory.
  • Process paperwork after completion of each job.
  • Test mechanical equipment after repair to guarantee proper performance and compliance with the manufacturers’ specs
  • Keeps shop work area, equipment, and service van clean

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Great written/verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
  • 5-10+ years of mechanical background strongly desired
  • Must possess own tools, but necessary specialized tools are provided
  • Experience working on air hoists, manual hoists, and electric hoists
  • Prior forklift experience

Essential Talents:

  • Clean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent.
  • Assemble gear systems, and align frames and gears.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
  • Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
  • Adjust and maintain industrial machinery, using control and regulating devices.
  • Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.
  • Direct workers who are assembling or disassembling equipment or cleaning parts.
  • Fabricate needed parts or items from sheet metal.
  • Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Research, order, and maintain parts inventory for services and repairs.
  • Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records.
  • Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
