This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of construction equipment and diesel and gas‑powered vehicles within our fleet. Responsibilities
  • Fleet Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and timely repairs on construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, skid‑steers, and skip loaders.
  • Vehicle Repairs: Maintain and repair diesel and gas‑powered vehicles to ensure fleet reliability.
  • Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and manuals.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs for all equipment and vehicles.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and protocols, creating a safe working environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with site managers and supervisors to prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance effectively.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, ideally with construction equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and using diagnostic tools.
  • Problem‑Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with an ability to develop efficient repair solutions.
  • Reading Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Licensing: Valid driver's license required; CDL is preferred but not mandatory.
