Job summary

Waste-Pro is seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Person focused on Heavy Equipment Repair Operations, Welding, and Preventative Maintenance to keep our facility equipment running smoothly.

Handles diagnosing malfunctions, performing regular inspections, and executing scheduled maintenance on various heavy equipment while ensuring conveyor belts are replaced when needed and welding is performed to repair components and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facility maintenance, heavy equipment repair, and welding operations.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
• Familiarity with conveyor systems and replacement of belts.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of electrical systems is an advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment malfunctions promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on heavy equipment including bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and cranes.
• Weld and fabricate components for forklifts and repair structural components.
• Maintain welding equipment and monitor conveyor belt condition.
• Replace conveyor belts and repair components to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Lubricate moving parts and keep maintenance records.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and assist with wiring installation and maintenance.
