Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with mechanical aptitude is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as haul trucks, water trucks, loaders and graders.
• Assist journeyman mechanics with maintenance on transmissions, engines, brakes and other systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment under supervision.
• Complete work orders and document maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and report findings.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and perform housekeeping duties.
• May operate equipment like forklifts and small mobile equipment.
