Job summary

Edw. C. Levy Co. is seeking a Preventive Maintenance/Lube Technician for our Lexington Mill Services site in Lexington, NC. You will perform preventive maintenance and lubrication on mobile equipment and support operations with a path toward becoming a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

The role offers day shifts, Monday–Friday, with a focus on safety and reliability, and a chance to advance within our heavy equipment division. Amounts listed reflect hourly pay and benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mobile equipment and lubrication points.
• Basic math skills and computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to manipulate hand and power tools.
• Ability to use and understand manuals.
• Ability to read and write.
• Knowledge of appropriate safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate and service mobile equipment.
• Take and send oil samples.
• Inspect vehicles for safety defects.
• Make minor repairs to vehicles during preventive maintenance.
• Provide general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Requisition parts and supplies.
• Keep records and reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
