Job summary

Butler Machinery is seeking a Diesel Service Technician in Nebraska to perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment. You will troubleshoot hydraulics, electrical and powertrain systems and work overtime when needed.

This full-time role offers a pay scale from $32.73 to $53.03 per hour, DOE, plus a comprehensive benefits package including retirement, health insurance, PTO and 401(k).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agriculture equipment and systems.

• Overtime eligible when workload requires (1.5x after 8 hours).
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
• Commit to lifelong learning and staying current with industry updates.
• Lift up to 70 lbs.
• Occasional travel to Butler locations and customer sites.

Responsibilities Of a Diesel Service Technician

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agriculture equipment and systems.
• Troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry. For example: Hydraulics, electrical, power trains, etc.
• Opportunity for overtime as workload dictates (anything over 8 hours a day is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate)
• Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work independently and as part of a high performing team
• Committed to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards and product updates
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
• Opportunity to travel to other Butler and customer locations
• Other duties as assigned
