Job summary

Wagman, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Lube Technician to join our Field Service team in Dinwiddie, VA. You will support the Heavy Civil division by lubricating and maintaining construction equipment at shop and field sites to keep projects on schedule.

Requires a CDL B, prior construction site experience, and the ability to operate water trucks. You must be willing to travel to regional VA job sites, with safety first in all tasks.

Qualifications

• CDL B required to operate the equipment used in the role.
• Experience working on construction sites is required.
• Background in mechanical work or maintenance is preferred.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and lubricate heavy construction equipment at shop and job sites.

• Perform preventative maintenance checks and basic repairs.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency.

Field Heavy Equipment Lube Tech

Pay rate: $20.00/hr -$28.00/hr (Based on experience)

Travel: Must be able to travel to job sites in the region - primarily Field Service Center, Dinwiddie VA

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Lube Technician to join our Heavy Civil team in our Dinwiddie VA facilities. This position will support our Field Service Center and VA projects primarily as well as others in the Mid-Atlantic.

Core competencies include: design-build, infrastructure, marine construction, modified concrete, grooving and grinding, and geotechnical construction services.

This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction.

This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.

Basic Requirements

• Must have a CDL B to drive the equipment utilized in the role
• Experience working on construction sites
• Experience driving commercial vehicles such as water trucks
• Driver's license and reliable transportation

Essential Functions

• Inspecting and lubricating heavy construction equipment in shop and at construction job sites.
• Set up, adjust and maintain assigned equipment
• Make preventative maintenance checks and inspections
• Repair equipment
• Valid Driver's license
• Min. CDL B required
• Test repaired equipment to insure operating efficiency.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds from ground level to waist level.
• Continuous standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift.
• Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands
• Must be able to climb ladders and/or steps on equipment to access areas to be repaired.
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel and crawl.
• Must be able to work in dirty, greasy, noisy, cold, hot and humid working conditions.
• Required to have acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing
• Must have the ability to reach, lift and perform work above shoulder height-and the ability to work on uneven surfaces and confined spaces.
