Job summary

Strategic Materials is seeking a Heavy Equipment Loader Operator to move materials and support production while upholding safety standards in a fast-paced yard. You will operate loaders and other equipment, complete required training, and perform pre-shift inspections to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Ideal candidates are dependable team players who can follow instructions, balance quality with productivity, and comply with PPE and safety policies in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders and heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform pre-shift inspections and report safety concerns.
• Capable of basic preventive maintenance and fueling equipment safely.
• Ability to load trucks and production hoppers with materials.
• Skill in tracking load counts and material movement.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate loaders and heavy equipment in accordance with company standards.
• Complete required training, including safety procedures and driving assessments.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and report any safety concerns.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and fuel equipment safely.
• Load trucks and production hoppers with assigned materials.
• Accurately track load counts and material movement.
• Transport materials to storage areas, bunkers, or staging zones.
• Report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all PPE requirements and company safety policies.
• Operate additional equipment after completing on-site training.

Your Impact in This Role

• Safely operate loaders and heavy equipment in accordance with company standards
• Complete required training, including Sibelco safety procedures and driving assessments
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and report any safety concerns
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and fuel equipment safely
• Load trucks and production hoppers with assigned materials
• Accurately track load counts and material movement
• Transport materials to storage areas, bunkers, or staging zones
• Report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns promptly
• Follow all PPE requirements and company safety policies
• Operate additional equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) after completing on-site training
