Job summary

WT Byler is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Haul Truck Drivers to operate commercial vehicles on sites across the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast region. This role may require extended travel with travel compensation available for some assignments.

You will follow safety policies, operate equipment including backhoe and bulldozers, haul heavy loads, and support nearby crews. A valid CDL, clean driving record, and ability to pass drug testing and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Current valid Class A or B CDL driver license and clean driving record.
• 1–2 years of heavy equipment hauling experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel for extended project assignments.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test, background check and physical.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project safety and health is the top priority by following all safety policies and procedures.
• Operate equipment such as backhoe, front end loader, excavator, bulldozer, track hoe, motor grader, and/or off-road dump truck.
• Haul small equipment, heavy machinery and materials to job sites.
• Assist general laborers and operators during construction activities.
• Ensure units are operated safely and per SOPs and equipment use.

We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Haul Truck Drivers to operate commercial vehicles at WT Byler projects including commercial, industrial, railroad and retail locations. This position will require the ability to travel (travel compensation available for some assignments).

What You'll Do

• Ensuring that project safety and health is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and procedures, including client standards and requirements
• Operates one of the following: backhoe, front end loader, excavator, bulldozer, track hoe, motor grader, and/or off-road dump truck
• Haul small equipment, heavy machinery and materials for delivery to job sites
• Assist general laborers and operators as needed during construction activities
• Assures unit is never operated in an unsafe manner or in a manner which is inconsistent with Standard Operating Procedures or the intended use for the equipment
Complete and submits equipment inspections per project requirements
• Utilize proper PPE for all activities
