Job summary

Altec, a long-standing equipment company, needs mechanics across the U.S. and Canada to repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical components on heavy equipment. The role offers overtime potential and a starting pay of $29–$33/hour, depending on experience.

You’ll join a network of 45+ service centers, receive ongoing training, and enjoy comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, life insurance, paid vacation, and a $1500 sign-on bonus after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy equipment or similar machinery is required.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to drive and operate basic tools per policy.
• Willingness to work overtime and adhere to safety practices.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
• Use technical manuals and resources for troubleshooting and parts identification
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
• Maintain a clean, safe work area
• Follow Altec safety practices and procedures
• Advise supervisors of issues affecting customers
• Complete required documentation accurately
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values
• All other duties as assigned
