Description

The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing high-quality repair services on equipment to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, ensuring maximum value for work performed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
2. Use hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, instruments, and laptops.
3. Understand basic manuals, schematics, parts books, and installation instructions.
4. Maintain basic working knowledge of engine and compressor systems.
5. Troubleshoot systems for errors.
6. Achieve mastery level knowledge of hand tools, air tools, measuring tools, laptops, diagnostic software, and rigging equipment.
7. Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
8. Work safely, following all safety policies and procedures.
9. Accurately complete related paperwork and access required databases (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, BMTS).
10. Follow contamination control and HAZMAT regulations.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, manuals, and write routine reports.
• Proficiency in basic math operations and ability to calculate percentages, area, volume, etc.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions in various formats and solve problems involving concrete variables.
• Knowledge of database software, internet software, and order processing systems.
• Clean driving record for field assignment.
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate a field vehicle.
• May require DOT physical and MSHA certification.
• Flexibility to work various schedules.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The physical demands include standing, walking, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, sitting, and smelling. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

The work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, humidity, heights, fumes, weather, cold, heat, electrical shock, vibration, and moderate noise levels. Travel up to 95% is required. This is a remote, safety-sensitive position. The job description may change as needed.
