Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician in Tampa, FL. The role involves on-site repair of diesel, agricultural, and heavy equipment with a company truck and on-site support.

You’ll perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and parts installation while traveling to customer sites. The ideal candidate has at least three years of heavy equipment repair experience, owns tools, and is proficient with engine, powertrain, hydraulics and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Three years of previous heavy equipment or over-the-road (OTR) repair experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Possess own tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections.
• Power washing and parts cleaning.
• Removal and installation of parts.
• Implementation of optional accessories.
• Maintenance.
• On the road doing basic diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Testing.
• General repairs on the road.
• Driving company truck to different customers locations.
• Upkeep of the service truck.
• Responsible for the inventory of onboard parts.
