Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is hiring a full-time Field Technician in Tampa, FL to service construction equipment and perform inspections, maintenance, and on-the-road diagnostics. Candidates should have diesel/heavy equipment repair experience, own tools, and be able to work independently while driving to customer sites.

Essential duties include inspections, parts replacement, maintenance, and on-site troubleshooting with daily truck usage. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Three years of heavy equipment or over-the-road (OTR) repair experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Own tools and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections.
• Power washing and parts cleaning.
• Removal and installation of parts.
• Implementation of optional accessories.
• Maintenance.
• On the road doing basic diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Testing.
• General repairs on the road.
• Driving company truck to different customer locations.
• Upkeep of the service truck.
• Responsible for the inventory of onboard parts.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time.
