Job summary

Ditch Witch West in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Technician to service heavy trucks, trenching equipment, and directional drills at customer sites. You will travel frequently in a fully equipped service vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment and to maximize uptime.

The ideal candidate has multiple years of experience with heavy construction equipment, electrical and hydraulic diagnostics, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment.
• 2 years electrical and hydraulic diagnostic and repair preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work with little supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record; CDL preferred.
• Must provide own tools.
• Willing to travel 75% or more of the time.

Responsibilities

• Work on heavy trucks, trenching, directional drills, and other heavy equipment at customer locations to maximize uptime.
• Travel area in a fully loaded service vehicle and perform top-notch work on equipment.
• Interact with customers and ensure reliable service.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Field Technician, you will work on heavy trucks, heavy trenching, directional drills, and other heavy equipment at customer locations to ensure that their equipment is running in peak form and maximizing uptime. Every day, picture yourself traveling the area in a fully loaded Pape’ service vehicle, performing top-notch work on equipment, interacting with customers, and knowing that they can count on you to get the job done right.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 3 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment.
• 2 years electrical and hydraulic diagnostic and repair preferred
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and

Compensation: $33-50/hr (Depending on Experience)
