Job summary

Pape’ West Tukwila location is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Technician to diagnose and repair heavy construction gear across customer sites. You’ll travel extensively in a fully equipped service vehicle, perform high-quality work, and ensure uptime while building strong customer relationships.

The role requires 3+ years of field experience, electrical/hydraulic diagnostics, and the ability to work with little supervision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment.
• 2 years electrical and hydraulic diagnostic and repair preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge helpful.
• Must provide own tools and have a valid license.
• Willing to travel 75% or more; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy trucks, trenching equipment, and directional drills at customer locations.
• Operate and service equipment to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Interact with customers and communicate findings clearly.
• Travel frequently in a Pape’ service vehicle; work with minimal supervision.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Field Technician, you will work on heavy trucks, heavy trenching, directional drills, and other heavy equipment at customer locations to ensure that their equipment is running in peak form and maximizing uptime. Every day, picture yourself traveling the area in a fully loaded Pape’ service vehicle, performing top-notch work on equipment, interacting with customers, and knowing that they can count on you to get the job done right.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 3 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment.
• 2 years electrical and hydraulic diagnostic and repair preferred
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record. CDL preferred.
• Must provide own tools.
• Must be willing to travel 75% or more of the time.

Compensation: $33-50/hr (Depending on Experience)
