Job summary

Five Star Equipment is seeking a skilled Road Service Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic at our Waterford, PA location to service John Deere construction equipment in the field.

You will perform on-site diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, working with modern service vehicles and teams. Prior experience with hydraulic, diesel and electrical systems is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician or mechanic.
• Experience with John Deere, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Case CE and similar equipment.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• On-site diagnostics identifying malfunctions in hydraulic, engine and electrical systems.
• Field repair at job sites including welding, part replacement and troubleshooting.
• Preventative maintenance such as oil changes and inspections.
• Safety compliance ensuring repaired equipment meets safety standards.
• Communicate machine information to service advisor and manager.
