Job summary
Rudd Equipment Company, Inc. is seeking motivated Service Technicians to diagnose and repair heavy equipment across shop and field settings. You will work on drive-train, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, ensuring safety and quality while supporting the company values.
Candidates should have high school diploma or GED, with technical schooling preferred, and be willing to travel, work overtime, and obtain DOT certification. Experience with Volvo or paving equipment is a plus.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling preferred.
- Experience with Volvo construction equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Welding and fabrication skills desirable.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment in shop or field.
- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment.
- Source and order parts as needed.
- Perform welding and brazing; fabricate/modify parts and equipment.
- Adhere to safety procedures and DOT requirements; travel/overnight stays as required.
