Job Overview

Our construction equipment group is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Field Service Diesel Technician / Mechanic for our Hooksett, NH branch. The primary responsibilities include:

• Complete inspections, focusing on asphalt-related equipment
• Removal and installation of parts
• Implementation of optional accessories
• Maintenance, basic diagnosis, troubleshooting, and testing
• General repairs
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and be ready for work at the designated start time

Technicians are encouraged to participate in our in-house training program to acquire additional skills and advance their careers. Company uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• Four years of heavy equipment or over-the-road repair experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of engines, power trains, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Own tools required
• Positive attitude and high energy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
• Intermediate reading, writing, and speaking skills in English
• Basic mathematical skills and intermediate reasoning ability

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly stand, walk, use hands; frequently talk, hear, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; occasionally sit
• Lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 26-50 pounds frequently, over 51 pounds occasionally
• Work near moving mechanical parts, in outdoor weather, and occasionally in wet/humid conditions or risk of electrical shock
